| Staying in or near Ojo Caliente? How do you decide where to stay?
There are so many choices and each one is unique. We think each one is so unique that none of them are really in competition with each other. There is a room for everyone and our goal is to be sure that anyone who wants to stay in or near Ojo be able to find a place that is exactly what they want. Read this and then see the list below. Close to the Hot Springs your main criteria:Then stay at the Hot Springs by all means. They have more rooms than almost anyone else. They also have their cottages--separated from the main "hotel" building. Otherwise, both the Lomita Motel (10 minute walk) and the Inn at Ojo (5 minute walk) are within easy reach. Price range most important:The least expensive is probably the Lomita ($45-$55). The most is Rancho de San Juan (starts at $175). In between, from least to most, especially if you consider "winter rates" where offered, the Abiquiu Inn, the Hot Springs, Black Mesa B & B, the Inn at Ojo, and Anthony's Inn at the Delta range mostly from around $55 to around $95. Ask for "specials" and consider stays of 2 nights or more to get the best rates. Private bathroom with shower in your room:Pretty much any place except the Hot Springs. Camping or RV parking:Only at the Hot Springs that we know of. A restaurant on site:The Hot Springs, Rancho de San Juan, the Abiquiu Inn, Anthony's at the Delta are your choices unless you mean breakfast. If so, include the Inn at Ojo and the Black Mesa B & B. Call or e-mail us if you want to evaluate other criteria. We do our biased best to help.
